Parent & Player Testimonials

  • Working with Behind the Cage (BTC) has been an exceptional experience. Connor is very personable and is extremely knowledgeable on the position. He is very keen on setting goals specific to each and every goalie, both in the short and long term. He is supportive, but also pushes you to be the best goalie you can be. In my 4 months working with BTC, they have been nothing but reliable, professional, and motivational. I have improved my game technically, but also mentally in my time working with them. I highly recommend BTC Goaltending to any goalies looking to improve their game.

  • Coach Webster is an amazing coach! Not only does he help us improve our game, but he also makes us feel great along the way. Having such a supportive coach really boosts the mental side of playing!

  • We are thrilled with the progress our son, Jackson, has made under the guidance of Coach Connor, both on and off the ice! Jackson has been participating in Small Group Private lessons for several months, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Coach Connor provides focused, positive, and constructive feedback, tailoring specific training exercises to address Jackson's development needs. His innovative training methods, including the use of video recordings of practices, have been instrumental in keeping Jackson motivated and excited to return each week. Coach Connor's dedication and expertise are truly exceptional!

  • My 10-year-old daughter has been taking lessons with Coach Connor, and we’re really happy with the experience. He strikes a perfect balance between making the sessions fun and providing constructive feedback that really challenges her to improve. His communication is excellent—he’s organized, responsive, and always keeps us in the loop. He also sends out video clips (usually the next day), which really help her review and learn. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great goalie coach!

  • I really enjoy working with Coach Connor at BTC Goaltending. I leave feeling like I’ve improved in the areas we work on and had fun while doing it. He hasn’t tried to change my goaltending style, just improve it. I highly recommend BTC if you’re looking for a goalie coach.

  • Working with Coach Conner has been so fun for my son. He does a great job of keeping him engaged and keeping it fun while still correcting and talking him through things. Even though there can be quite the age gap during lessons Coach Conner does a great job of adjusting accordingly based on the players skill level. My son has been off and on about being a goalie but his desire to stick with it has been reignited thanks to his time with BTC Goaltending. I can tell a drastic change in his sharpness and confidence after only a few lessons. Coach Conner is also extremely responsive and really cares about his students. The video recordings of the sessions are of course a plus, too. It’s nice to watch them before a game to reinforce the skills they worked on at practice.

  • I have been working with Connor since December and I have already seen a lot of improvement in all areas of my game. Connor is great to work with, he is very passionate and works hard to come up with good drills to help me improve my game. Every time I get off the ice I feel accomplished and that I have learned something new. Connor uses video to capture every rep during our sessions, which he later sends to me so that I can make adjustments to my game more efficiently.
